My name is
Ezra Johnson

I’m a third-generation San Antonian who wants to serve as your representative for District 10, my home for twelve years.

San Antonio’s history is what makes us unique.  That history brings jobs and opportunity to many, but it is also the root of problems that remain stubbornly unresolved.  I want to bring my experience as a public school teacher, college professor, lawyer, judge, neighborhood association president, small business owner, and community leader, to make San Antonio more safe, affordable, equitable, and sustainable for all residents.

Experienced Community Leader – Consensus Builder

I am a graduate of Edison High School, the University of Texas at Austin, and St. Mary’s Law School.   For the past twenty years, I have worked to gain experience in the fields of education, community building, transportation, energy, real estate, and criminal justice.  As the Vice Chair of the VIA Board of Trustees, I joined the voters of District 10 in a successful effort last November to get approval for greater transit funding.

I have direct experience in successfully working as a team with a diverse representative body and dedicated staff to get things done for the people of San Antonio.  As we look at funding priorities for infrastructure, housing, public safety, transportation, and our environment, it is clear District 10 would benefit from creating consensus across districts as the basis for addressing our common challenges.  I want to put my wide-ranging experience to work for you.
